Designed by Mike Fitch, this new modality brings your primary instincts to perform a series of movements different of everything you experienced so far. This is a form of physical exercise that fuses disciplines as diverse as capoeira, parkour, breakdance or gymnastics are practiced at ground level. The animal flow is a very demanding, physically and psychologically, as it requires the use of multiple muscles simultaneously, as well as an excellent balance.
A huge variety of exercises and combinations between them is the main feature of these classes that are grouped into six components each designed for specific results. The six components worked in these classes are the wrists, with flexibility and strength exercises, since this activity requires much use of the hand.
Activations: These are static positions used before the start of classes.
It is also given a particular importance to specific stretches that allow mobility and flexibility of the entire body. These always start with a position and will evolve from there to a series of movements that mimic animals.
Forms of locomotion. Here, the way that each animal moves is simulated.
Transitions, which serve to create a flow of animal movement. You can move from one animal form to another or repeat the same exercise several times.
Flow. Here is the true essence of animal flow. The various positions that were being worked on throughout class are here performed in sequence, moving from one position to another. These sequences can be choreographed or practiced at your will.
