Piloxing: three modes in one
By joining Pilates, boxing and dance, what would be the result? Piloxing.
The piloxing is an interdisciplinary training system that incorporates teachings of Pilates with boxing and dance moves, practiced in a group class. The junction of this activities promote physical and mental strengthening of its practitioners. The basic idea of this new mode is betting on the power each person has to get the image you want by your willpower, taking care of your health.
Created in 2009 by the Swedish dancer Viveca Jensen, who wanted to find an effective training for the central region of the body, the piloxing is the latest news in terms of physical training. The combination of exercises from the three different types allowed to its creator to find her true intent.
Using the most current science, piloxing relies on it to develop techniques that burn a lot of calories, tone the muscles and make them longer and more defined, and increase the power of those who practice it. In addition to the moves brought from Pilates, dance and boxing, this kind of training joins some elements of fitness as is the use of gloves with weight- different from boxing – and which serve to increase the resistance of the exercises for arms, toning them and strengthening them.
Cardiorespiratory training is particularly intense in piloxing class. Combining power, speed and agility of boxing moves to the dance moves, this is a sport suitable for those who want to intensely burn calories – 1 hour of class can burn up to 1200 calories – and see your muscles well-toned. At the end of the class there is a reserved time to some fitness exercises as abdominal or glutes.
The piloxing is ideally practiced barefoot, as Pilates lessons, to optimize the posture and body energy, that there is greater flexibility in the work of the muscles of the foot and ankle and as a way to prevent injuries.
Combining the three modes, piloxing works the posture, balance and flexibility, cardio respiratory part, definition of the muscles and promotes an intense calorie burning. Is there anything better?
