In the American supermarket Walmart, banana is the best-selling item ever. It happens because Americans are the biggest consumers of this fruit all over the world. About 96% of American households buy it.
Banana, contrary to what many think, does not grow on a tree, it grows in a plant of the Musa family, which is considered the largest herbaceous of the Earth. Bananas are one of the foods that can prevent or cure for its potassium quantity, and if you ingest two bananas before exercise, you can work out for 90 minutes without lack of energy.
Despite being composed of 75% of water, it is extremely difficult to extract juice from bananas. it can be crushed and used in smoothies, but not squeezed like other fruits. Banana is also an excellent remedy against stress and anxiety by the simple fact that it contains tryptophan, an amino acid that helps on production of serotonin, which helps improve your mood.
Also know that, if you eat a piece a day, you get 15% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C and 20% of the recommended daily dose of vitamin B6. Bananas are rich in magnesium, which can become useful to avoid cramps. Even the banana peel has its usefulness: some people use the interior to calm the itching caused by mosquitoes bites or to shine shoes.
